Hancock Park is one of Los Angeles’ historic neighborhoods that was developed in the 1920’s. Located South of Wilshire Boulevard, North of Melrose Avenue, with La Brea Avenue to the west, and Van Ness avenue to the East, this affluent urban neighborhood originally was a “Who’s Who” list of much of the cities original pioneer families such as Chandleer, Doheny, Huntington, and Van Nuys who were among the early residents. Many of these magnificent homes were designed by well-known architects, such as Paul Williams, John Austin, and A. C. Chisholm. Today, Hancock Park remains one of LA’s most beautiful neighborhoods.
