The former home of the legendary artist behind the hit song New York, New York is up for sale in Mountain Center, California.

Singer and actor Frank Sinatra lived in the compound known as the Villa Maggio, where he allegedly lived for 12 years after it was built in 1970.

The Villa Maggio was named as an ode to Sinatra's role as Angelo Maggio in the 1953 movie From Here to Eternity - a film classic that won eight Academy Awards one year later.

The 9-bedroom, 13-bathroom compound is located right near Palm Desert, California and includes a five-bedroom main house, a three-bedroom guest home, and a one-bedroom pool house.

The compound, measured at 7.5 acres, is available through Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices California for a whopping $3.995 million.

Frank Sinatra was a legendary singer and actor who wrote and sang numerous hit songs, including New York, New York, and My Way. He was also a member of the Rat Pack - an informal group with several entertainers like Sammy Davis Jr. and Nat King Cole. He died in 1998 after suffering two heart attacks. He was 82

The 7.5 acre home is currently on the market for $3.995 million through Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices California. The mansion is actually a huge 9-bedroom 13-bathroom mansion that has three different homes - the main, the guest, and the one-bedroom pool house

The artist was one of the many entertainers who was an informal member of the Rat Pack, which also included singers like Sammy Davis Jr. and Nat King Cole.

His compound was the perfect location to hang out with the Rat Pack or other houseguests, boasting a tennis court, resort-style swimming pool, and beautiful gardens.

Potential homebuyers can enjoy these same features today at the Villa Maggio, and if they're lucky, can spot a helipad when looking at the home's breathtaking views.

If party guests are looking to swim, they can do so in the resort-style pool that is close to a pool house with two saunas, a kitchenette, and a fire pit.

Party guests may also be glad to know that there is plenty of parking.

The compound currently has 24 parking spaces divided into eight different sections.

The parking sections featured in the home are an auto driveway gate, a carport, a detached carport, secured, gravel, driveway gate, guest, on-site, and private parking.

Sinatra, the famous entertainer, likely had grand get-togethers with friends and family who may have hung out at his house's tennis court, resort-style swimming pool, and beautiful gardens. If one looks clearly enough, they may be able to spot a helipad in one of the compound’s breathtaking views

The resort-style pool can be peaceful for houseguests looking to relax in the water or to jump in. It is close to a hot tub and patio and near the pool house with two saunas, a kitchenette, and a fire pit. A bonus when swimming or relaxing in a hot tub is the incredible view

Athletes who love to play tennis are in luck with the huge tennis court in the compound’s backyard. Luckily, house guests who are not tennis players can enjoy playing basketball with the court’s built-in basketball hoop. Built-in lights are also included in the area for anyone looking to shoot hoops or hit a tennis ball late at night

Looking around the entire California compound, it may be hard for visitors to imagine the home without its beautiful views. One of the terraces accessible for such a view is located near the kitchen and living room of the main home.

There are eight different parking locations at the compound: The auto driveway gate, the carport, the detached carport, secured, gravel, driveway gate, guest, on-site, and private parking

Guests who prefer to hang out indoors will enjoy the cozy environment of the compound's living room and kitchen in the main house.

Interestingly enough, the main house kitchen is a catering kitchen where people who love to cook can hang out while making food.

Diners can enjoy their meals in the dining room right next to the kitchen and living room, where people can sit and relax after a long day.

Guests looking to lie down and rest, they can choose so in one of the five bedrooms in the main house.

Anyone unsatisfied with the five bedrooms of the main house is in luck, as there are four others in the detached guest house.

The main room of the California compound includes a catering kitchen. Like other rooms in the house, the walls of all the kitchens were built with sustainable wood, and one of the kitchens includes three stainless steel fridges to help with food organization

When food is ready, guests and homeowners can enjoy their meals while sitting at an old-fashioned dining table next to the living room and a terrace with a beautiful view
