Want to live in a lavish, multimillion-dollar desert estate?
We cant’ help you with that. We can, however, give you a peek inside some of the priciest and most over-the-top luxury Coachella Valley properties that sold in 2021.
From an antique mountainside compound to a modernist mansion and a private resort masquerading as a house, here are seven of the most expensive Coachella Valley homes sold in 2021 (plus a few bonus entries).
Oasis estate
Sales Price: $8,500,000
Location: Bighorn Golf Club, Palm Desert
Surrounded by water, the 1.67-acre property includes eight bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, three half-baths, a chef’s kitchen with refrigerated and dry walk-in pantries, a home theater, a wine room , two guest houses, a sunroom with retractable roof and an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven. Multiple gardens are spread throughout the privately-gated estate.
“916 Andreas Canyon is a great example of a very unique, resort-=style residence fo an owner who was looking for their own mini-hotel experience where they can get away from it all,” said listing agent Markus Canter of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.
Canter said the property’s unique location and layout offered 180-degree panoramic views of the desert and a very open feeling while still maintaining privacy.
Canter, a Beverly Hills-based luxury real estate agent, noted he’s observed a jump in demand for Coachella Valley properties like the Andreas Canyon estate among rich Los Angeles-area residents in the last year.
“The desert is trending among a very exclusive demographic of ultra-high net worth buyers,” he said. “We’ve never seen it like this before.”
